MARÍA JULIETA CORDERO – PSYCHOANALYST
Welcome to my psychoanalytic practice nestled in the vibrant city of Vancouver, Canada.
Children are not things to be molded but are people to be unfolded.
In our sessions, you aren’t just a “patient”; rather you’re an active participant in your own analysis.
Curabitur arcu erat, accumsan id imperdiet et, porttitor at sem. Nulla porttitor accumsan tincidunt.
I honour my homeland: Caracas, extending over the valleys of Waraira Repano (El Ávila) Mount.
“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”
I honour the land where I live today: ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
As an engaged Buddhist practitioner, I offer a cycle of 10 sessions that employ Buddhist principles and ethics to understand present challenges. While these sessions have a declared psychotherapeutic intent, that is alleviating psychological pain and its consequences, they are framed in the tradition of the kalyanamitra (spiritual guidance, companionship, admirable friendship) that aims at comprehending the strength of the Buddhadharma in our present lives.
Sessions are weekly either in-person or online, in English or Spanish.
