Welcome to my psychoanalytic practice nestled in the vibrant city of Vancouver, Canada.

I honour my homeland: Caracas, extending over the valleys of Waraira Repano (El Ávila) Mount.

I honour the land where I live today: ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.

My personal journey began in adolescence, a time when I sought solace from sadness and grief in Buddhist teachings. Over the years I braided together literature, philosophy and psychoanalysis with a deep interest in understanding the source of what seemed to be opposite experiences: suffering and joy.

Have you noticed how powerful the word patient is? From the Latin patiens, it means “to endure” or “to suffer.” We embrace this word’s roots as we recognize that healing often involves a courageous endurance of one’s struggles and a willingness to confront the depths of one’s suffering.

Together we go beyond coping mechanisms and strategies designed for adaptation. We take the leap toward transforming distress into self-knowledge and inner strength.

This isn’t your typical talk therapy; it’s a transformative journey into the essence of your being, employing a comprehensive psychoanalytic method. Our encounters open the doors to healing and release, tapping into the transformative power of the unconscious mind. Truth arises when we listen to the rhythms of the unconscious; then, endless possibilities unfold.

Ethics & Involvement

As a practitioner trained in the New Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis in Caracas and the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis in Madrid, both within the World Association of Psychoanalysis, I’m further registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

In my psychoanalytic practice I adhere to the Ethics of Psychoanalysis and follow the Code of Ethics set forth by the CCPA.

Based in Vancouver, BC the practice is open both in-person and online, in English and Spanish.

Additionally, in the past I’ve engaged with Vancouver Downtown East Side community as an Addictions Counsellor and currently with the Toronto Centre for Applied Buddhism as a Buddhist Counsellor specialising in grief.
